At A-List Driving Academy, we believe every student deserves high-quality instruction and the flexibility to complete their driver education on their own schedule.
Our classroom program is designed to provide the knowledge required by the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA), while our behind-the-wheel training is scheduled separately to give students greater flexibility and convenience.
Maryland Driver Education Requirements
To complete Maryland Driver Education, students must successfully complete:
- 30 Hours of Classroom Instruction
- 6 Hours of Behind-the-Wheel Training (Three 2-Hour Sessions)
A-List Driving Academy offers both services. Students may complete their behind-the-wheel training with A-List or with any Maryland MVA-approved driving school.
How Our Program Works
Step 1 – Enroll in Classroom Instruction
Choose a class schedule that fits your availability and reserve your seat online.
Step 2 – Complete the 30-Hour Classroom Course
Students attend live instructor-led classroom sessions that satisfy Maryland’s classroom education requirement.
Upon successful completion, students receive their Maryland classroom completion documentation.
Step 3 – Schedule Behind-the-Wheel Training
After completing the classroom course, students may:
- Schedule behind-the-wheel lessons with A-List Driving Academy
- Complete their driving sessions with any Maryland MVA-approved driving school
Students who complete the classroom course with A-List receive an exclusive graduate credit toward behind-the-wheel training when scheduled with A-List Driving Academy.
Students completing behind-the-wheel instruction with A-List receive:
- Three (3) two-hour driving sessions
- Six (6) total hours of professional instruction
- One-on-one coaching
- Online scheduling
- Professional training vehicle
A valid Maryland Learner’s Permit is required before beginning behind-the-wheel instruction.
Step 4 – Complete Driver Education
Once both the classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel training have been completed, the student’s Driver Education completion will be reported to the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA) by the provider completing the behind-the-wheel instruction.

Behind-the-Wheel Training/
Remedial Driver Training
$150 per 2-Hour Session
Maryland requires three (3) two-hour sessions.
Students who completed classroom instruction with A-List Driving Academy receive a graduate credit when scheduling their required driving sessions.
